About the Durham Democratic Town Committee

The Durham Democratic Town Committee works to help elect Democrats, with the best interests of Durham in mind, to public office. Achieving this goal is made possible by the active engagement of the DDTC membership in

  • Identifying, attracting, developing, and supporting quality Democratic candidates to serve as elected officials in Durham.
  • Contributing effectively to the political, civic, and educational activities of the town.
  • Participating in and providing support for the election campaigns of Democratic candidates on the local, state, and national levels.
  • Sharing information for the purpose of keeping up-to-date on issues and concerns facing our town.
  • Communicating issues and concerns of the DDTC to elected officials at the state and national level to request their assistance.

The committee generally meets the first Tuesday of every month at the Durham Public Library and welcomes attendance by those who would like more information or want to help the DDTC.
